Bank of Russia presents financial market development programme for 2027–2029
The draft Russian Financial Market Development Programme for 2027–2029 maintains continuity with the previously adopted documents. Priorities for the next three years include developing the capital market, enhancing confidence in the financial market, and strengthening investor and financial consumer protection.
The Bank of Russia will proceed with implementing digital and payment infrastructure projects and developing the system for foreign trade payments and settlements. To ensure financial stability, the regulator will continue to monitor systemic risks, improve approaches to their analysis, and devise measures to mitigate them.
The Bank of Russia updates the Russian Financial Market Development Programme on an annual basis to timely address changes and challenges facing the Russian economy today. The draft has been informed by feedback from market participants and real sector enterprises.
The draft Russian Financial Market Development Programme has been submitted to the President and the Government of the Russian Federation. At the next stage, the State Duma will discuss it at its parliamentary sessions. The final version will be released after that.
